1. Benidorm Old Town

Of course, if we’re talking about historic places… located high up between the Levante and Poniente beaches, Benidorm’s Old Town is a place full of charm. Its cobbled streets, white houses and viewpoints offer a unique perspective of the city. Highlights include the Church of San Jaime and Santa Ana, built in the 18th century, and the Balcón del Mediterráneo, a spectacular viewpoint offering unrivalled views of the sea.

2. Morales Tower

Also known as the Torre de Escaletes, this 16th century watchtower formed part of the defensive system against attacks by Barbary pirates. Although today only a few remains are preserved, it is a testimony to the history of Benidorm and its importance in coastal defence.

3. Tossal de La Cala

This archaeological site houses the remains of an Iberian settlement from the 3rd century BC. Situated on a promontory overlooking the sea, the Tossal de La Cala offers a unique insight into the life of the ancient inhabitants of the region. It also has information panels explaining the history of the settlement and its importance in Mediterranean trade.

4. Guadalest Castle

About 30 minutes drive from Camping Villasol, Guadalest is one of the most picturesque villages in Spain. What to see in Guadalest? Its castle, built by the Muslims in the 11th century, stands on a rocky outcrop offering breathtaking views of the reservoir and the Marina Baixa region.

5. Roman Villa of l’Albir

Located in Villajoyosa, this Roman funerary tower is one of the best preserved in the Valencian Community.
